Gentle Chair Yoga
Gentle Chair Yoga is suitable for older people and for those that for any other reason have found that they are less able to
take part in an ordinary yoga class.
In Chair Yoga students do not need to come down to the floor at any point during a class. The whole class is done either
sitting in the chair or standing with the option of using the chair to aid balancing.
The classes teach students to improve their posture and to encourage their body systems and organs to work more efficiently.
Students learn how to use proper breathing for health and relaxation and there will always be time for quiet meditation at
the end of a class.
Students often find that aches and pains can be relieved, sleep patterns improved, and stress levels reduced with regular
yoga practice.
